Q. Is J.T. Metier more expensive than other consultation firms?
Through applications of lean management principles, we are capable of providing high quality services at affordable pricing. Some customers have mentioned to us before that our pricing is 1/3 - 1/10 of another firm's. Our pricing is also far less expensive than when your organization hires a professional who is capable of all QCDSM improvements.
Q. Why do you emphasize the importance of knowledge transfer?
Many of you may know this Chinese proverb, "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime." We will teach you how to improve your QCDSM by developing SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) so your organization will become capable of identifying problems, analyzing their root causes, and developing effective countermeasures.
SMEs are a group of your staff who facilitate improvement projects and audit their progresses while motivating other project members. To facilitate projects, SMEs also select project members and teach them how to resolve problems, thus further transferring their knowledge eventually to the entire organization.
Also, from the learning perspectives, it is imperative for anyone to become capable of teaching the topics in order to master the topics. SME training will develop them into skilled teachers of topics, so their mastery will be assured.
